Trade Mission to South East Asia November 21, 2011 to December 1, 2011
The Provincial Food Processing Associations of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia are working together on an Export Enhancement and Investment Attraction Project. This is a multiyear program which will continue to expand export trade to Asia and attract investment to western Canada. The Project is offering a series of Outgoing Trade Missions to Asia.

Nutritional Labeling Funding Program Extended to December 2011!
Attention Food Processing Companies: the SFPA has extended its funding for Nutritional Labeling claims. The funding will expire on December 31, 2011.
Eligible expenses include:
- Nutritional Analysis (Wet/Dry)
- Label Plate*
- Carton/Case Plate*
- UP Code
- Bilingual Interpreter
*covers plates only, not labels or cartons/cases

Invitation for Food Processors: Trade Mission to South East Asia
The Provincial Food Processing Associations of Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in conjunction with Food Beverage Canada are working together on an Export Enhancement and Investment Attraction Project.
The project's first outgoing trade mission took place from November 29 - December 8, 2010, with participants traveling to Vietnam and the Phillipines. This was a great opportunity for agri-food processors to expand their export markets and build relationships with potential buyers and investors.

Western Canada's food industry receives funding boost from WED
The SFPA is pleased to announce that Western Economic Diversification has committed $961,000 towards a series of Asia Pacific trade missions, both outgoing and incoming, for food processing companies in Western Canada. The missions will be aimed at promoting trade and parternships, as well attracting foreign investors to take over ownership of the province's many small food businesses which face closure when owners retire and do not have anyone to replace them The SFPA will be playing a leading role in administering the 4-year project, along with other food processing associations in Western Canada.

Saskatchewan Made Program - POSTPONED
The Saskatchewan Made Program has been postponed due to lack of funding.
The new branding initiative was recently featured in the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Business View magazine.
